Kathy's Bio

Kathy Shaw has been married to the love of her life, Kevin M. Shaw, for 33 years. They have two handsome young adult sons and an adorable twelve-year-old maltipoo named Richie.

After marriage, Kevin and Kathy served as full time evangelists for seven years while living in a 5th wheel travel trailer preaching revivals across the U.S. They were also privileged to go on a mission's trip to Nigeria for a couple months while preaching and teaching in various churches and cities with missionaries. They then started a church plant in inner-city Los Angeles, California, where they pastored the church for seven years.

In 2005, they moved to Denver, Colorado where Kevin became pastor of House of Worship, UPCI where they currently reside. Kevin had the honor of serving as District Secretary for the Colorado District of the UPCI for ten years and Kathy had the honor of serving as Ladies Secretary for six years. She is now the Prayer coordinator for her state. 

Kathy is a part-time nanny and Bible study writer. She is a student of Light University and currently has several certificates in mental health coaching. She aspires to go into the field of Christian counseling in her near future. 

Her passion is for prayer, discipleship, multicultural ministries, and working with bruised and broken people, especially those from dysfunctional homes and backgrounds that involve trauma. 

Her hobbies include floral design, decorating, sewing, reading, gardening, biking, walking her dog near water, hanging out with her husband and two boys, playing board games, and playing pickle ball. 

Kathy's Mission is to provide women with practical Bible studies and prayer tools that will equip them to learn, grow, and mature in their walk with God. Her mission is to inspire and encourage women who are on a journey to heal emotionally from the wounds that seek to bind them.
